What we bring to Lincoln
The full lineup travels with us, and the market is the only place you can try it before deciding.
- Cenicafé — our everyday cup from Chinavita, Boyacá. Cocoa, honey, hazelnut and citrus. Whole bean or ground, medium or dark roast.
- San Bernardo — single-farm, sun-dried and roasted at origin in Ibagué, Tolima. Chocolate and red fruit over a silky body.
- Bosa Coffee Drips — single-serve pour-over bags. Hot water and a mug, nothing else.
- All five chocolate bars — 85 g each, from 35% white chocolate with lulo to 70% dark with orange.
- Hot Cocoa tablets — 100% Colombian cocoa, no sugar, no dairy.
- Wayúu mochilas — hand-woven in La Guajira. Market only. Photographs do not do them justice.
Taste before you buy
We brew on site. You can try Cenicafé next to San Bernardo, in the same cup size, minutes apart, and decide which one belongs in your kitchen — instead of guessing from a product photograph.
Most people are surprised by how different they are. One is bright and citric, the other deep and chocolate-forward, and they come from farms nearly 200 miles apart.
Ask us anything
Every bag we sell is traceable to a single farm. We can tell you which one, who picked it, what the altitude was and how this season's harvest went. That level of detail does not fit on a label, and the market is where we get to actually say it.
If you brew at home and something is not working — coffee tasting thin, sour, or bitter — bring the question. We have opinions, and most of the fixes are free. Our brewing guide covers the six most common methods if you want to read ahead.
The women behind the products
The coffee is hand-picked cherry by cherry, largely by the women who work the farms. The cacao in our chocolate is transformed by Afro-Colombian women on the Pacific coast of Cauca — eight farms, eight towns, in the case of our tasting box. The mochilas are woven by Wayúu women in La Guajira, and a single bag can take weeks.
Getting there
The market sits on Lincoln Road, a short drive west of Boston and walkable from the Lincoln stop on the Fitchburg commuter rail line. There is parking on site. Look for the yellow and blue coffee bags.
Can't make it on a Saturday?
Everything except the Wayúu mochilas is available online, and we ship from Boston. You can also find us at the Swampscott Farmers Market on Sundays and at Nahant Market by the Sea.
